I bought this because I didn't want to settle for one of the smaller surge protectors with the 3' cord and lacking the spaced-out outlets on the end to fit transformers better. This was a really good choice because of that. I keep it out in the living room to use for lighting and also to keep AC adapters for laptops plugged in and accessible near the couch.\n\nI also like that the plug is at a 90° angle to the wall, so it fits a lot better on the side of the couch close to the wall.
